Welcome to Answers Corner – where learning more about defending your faith is literally at your fingertips. 1 Peter 3:15 says “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:"

This piece of scripture is not just advice, but rather instruction or a directive that God has written to His children. Here we find Peter is instructing all “strangers” (1:1), to always be ready. This means that we must always be ready to “give and answer to every man that asketh”. You must always be mentally and physically ready to give an answer, or a defense of your faith. This is not just advice, or a “extra” thing to do, but instead a commandment directly from the God who created us!!

I am convinced that there are innumerable amounts of saved people in our churches that are not active in witnessing, engaged with their co-workers, or wanting to talk about their faith – not because they do not necessarily want to, but rather they are embarrassed and know that they are not ready to fulfill Peter’s directive. Instead of learning and taking a step forward, they are content to do nothing.

Let’s be honest, there is always more that EVERYONE can learn, and everyone has to start somewhere, but instead of being content with nothing, we need to respond to Peter’s commandment to us, as Christians. One of my favorite quotes is this: “Every expert was once a beginner”. That means that no matter where you are in your faith, the only thing stopping you from becoming an expert,….is you.

That is the point of this section – to provide answers to commonly asked tenets of our Christian faith. If you have a question that you want answered, please contact us and let us know! As we continue to add content to this section, our prayer is that God can use this to better equip Christians to defend the faith. After all, that is our commandment.
