Apr.13 Devotion:A Peaceful Body

A Peaceful Body [14] And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. [15] And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. [16] Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

As Christians we should live in peace with one another. This does not mean we will always be in agreement. It does mean we should work together despite our differences. This love and peace isn’t about a feeling, but it’s a decision that we make. God didn’t make us all the same so we can’t expect everyone to have same interests or thoughts as us. We come into church and don’t like the way a certain person preaches or sings. Don’t care for way someone else talks or looks. We should come into His house as it talks about in vs 15. We should come in with the peace of God in our hearts. When we do that then we also follow vs 16 and come in with His Word indwelling us. All these will help us come to church looking for Him and not looking at others. When we get our focus right it’s then we an accomplish what we are meant to and see people saved. When we come in with our focus on others we don’t have peace of God and we are a hindrance to the service. As you prepare for this weekend’s services I challenge you to ask yourself where your focus is. Come in with your focus on Him, the peace of God in your heart, and then see what a God can do in our midst! We could see revival break out, lost get saved, and a great move of God start across our land.

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
