A New Creature

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

In the modern church of today everyone who mentions the name of Jesus in on their way to heaven, but according to this verse there must be some changes made. The word if is used which is telling us there is a possibility that you’re not saved. That IF any man be in Christ he is a new creature. In these days you can't tell the Christian from the lost man. When a person gets saved he should have new desires. Before you didn't like going to church, but now you look forward to attending church. Before you liked hanging with the rough crowd. l realize that you have the flesh to deal with. Paul instructs us to crucify the flesh. The next chapter we're told to come out from among them and be ye separate. To be separate it takes a little suffering and we don't like to suffer at all. That's why we're not able to endure any kind of trouble. The children of God are to trust him. It’s hard to trust someone that you don't know or go around much.
