Psalms 55:6-7
David is going through and facing things in his life that have seemingly overwhelmed him. He feels he can’t go on anymore and just wants to run away and hide from it all. We all get to that same place in our lives. We feel what we going through is more than we can bear.

B. Desires to be attended to – verse 2
C. Distressed because of the outside enemy – verse 3
D. Distressed deeply on the inside – verse 4,5
2. David’s Desire – verses 6,7
A. Desires a way out – verse 6 (wings of a dove)
B. Desires to run away – verse 6 (fly away)
C. Desires to leave everything and be alone – verse 7 ( wander far off)
3. David’s Discovery – verses 16-17, 22
A. Calling on God is the avenue out – verse 16
B. Continue calling is the attitude needed – verse 17

Prayer is better than flying away on wings of a dove!
