Followers Of God

Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

We’ve all heard the phrase: A chip off the old block. Over time kids will mimic many things their parents do. There is a golf tournament each year that is famous golfers paired up with a child of their. Tiger Woods played in it for the first time in 2019 with his son Charlie. After the tournament there was a video that surfaced of how close their mannerisms were. All the way down to Charlie wiped his nose in a funny way just like his dad did. Our kids follow us around and mimic so many things that we do. Do we follow God in the same way? Do we follow Him so closely that we begin to talk like Him? Are we following so closely that people look at us and ask if we are a Christian because of the way we act? Why do you think the Bible talks about a child-like faith? Children will just trust their parents to lead them down the right path. Do we trust God in the same way? If He instructs us to do ABC, do we do ABC, or do we do XYZ to do our own thing? If we are to follow God, as dear children as the verse says then others will be able tell. We’ll walk like Christ, talk like Him, act like Him. How do you follow Him?
