Finding the Word of God

2 Kings 22:8

And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

What I find amazing is how they lost the Word of God, but I would say that it might be easier than one would think. I believe that for our country, the Word of God is lost to them. Yet, you can find a copy of God's Word at Walmart. It's not lost because it's not available, but because it's not valued. People don't know what the Bible says because they don't read it. That was the first thing that they did after finding God's Word. We're too busy working or watching our favorite tv show over reading the Bible. They might have ignored what the Bible says. We also are not applying the Word of God to our lives.

In today's average church, couples living together before they get married is accepted, but it's not accepted by the Lord.

They think unfaithfulness is okay. The Bible says that it's required of a steward to be found faithful.

If you look around in America, we as a whole may have already lost the Word of God.
