Ruth Found Grace

Ruth 2:10

Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?

Grace was available for Ruth. Boaz showed grace to Ruth because of his feelings for her. It was love at first sight. That's how God feels for us. He loved us while we were yet sinners. It was the grace of God that moved him in our direction to save us.

Grace was attractive; it looked good to Ruth. People haven't changed, though, and there are a lot of people desiring a relationship with God by doing some good deed.

Grace was affordable. It didn't cost Ruth anything. It’s a free gift, and God wants to provide all your needs. So many people are trying to do something to merit what God wants to do for you freely.

The gift of God is eternal life. No one has ever worked for a gift because the giver desires to give it freely.

Grace is God giving us what we don't deserve.
