Aug 6 Devotion: The Gospel of Christ

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

         The promise of redemption is based in the finished work of Jesus Christ and the power of God. It is the ultimate good news that the condemned can be redeemed. Can there be a greater truth? Can there be a greater possibility? I think not. It has been made available to everyone that will believe. What a joy it is to know that your record reads cleansed by the blood of the Lamb. As you ponder this thought today, vocalize your thankfulness to God for his wonderful gift and be a witness to those around you as to how amazing it is to be saved. If, by divine appointment, you read this devotion and do not know Christ as your Savior, please trust him today. He made all the provisions for salvation and beckons you to come and partake of the water of life freely. Please heed the call.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
