The Babe in the Manger
Luke2:1-20
It is easy in the Christmas season to focus on the giving and getting of presents, and to forget the real meaning of Christmas. It can be easy to see the little baby in a manger as we display a nativity scene, but we need not to forget lying in that manger was the Son of God. Jesus was God at his birth. He had all power lying in the manger. When Mary was holding Jesus in her arms she was holding the creator of all things visible and invisible. He was God dwelling in human flesh. He was the the one responsible for leading the children of Israel out of Egypt. He was more than a baby, he was the Saviour of all mankind. He is the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings the Prince of peace. He is the giver of life, the forgiver of all our sins. He is the Rock of ages and the God of glory. He is the soon coming king. He is the payment for our sin debt. He is the judge of all mankind. He is mighty in love and grace, but he will be mighty in judgment. He is not a one sided Saviour. He will not hand out grace and forget judgment. If you don't know Him it is my desire that during this Christmas season that you'll accept him as your Saviour.
God bless
