Heb. 4:14-16 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need
We all find ourselves in a place where we need help. Sometimes it’s physical,
mental or spiritual. We find ourselves not knowing what to do or where to
turn. Our verses give us the answers.
I. We have a place to go-verse 16
– The throne of grace-Heb. 9:24
II. We have a person to come to-verse 14-15
– Jesus the Son of God
– Jesus our great high priest
III. We have a procedure to come-verse 16
– We can come boldly
– Bold means fearless, confident, with assurance and freedom
IV. We have a purpose for coming-verse16
– Mercy and grace
– Obtain mercy-refers to the pardon of sins
– Find grace-refers to the power of support
V. We have a power to help-verse16
– Help when neccessary
– Help as neccessary
– Help for the neccessity
Jer. 33:3 – Call unto me and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things.
