Searching isn’t enough Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: [24] And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
This is a wonderful prayer!! Would do our lives good if we were willing to follow these verses. We are very willing to follow vs. 23, but what about vs. 24? It’s easy to pray for God to search us, try us, and even for Him to know our thoughts. However, after doing that we must:
-listen We must be willing to listen to what God finds -led(allow Him to lead us) It says it in vs.24, we must allow Him to lead us in His ways! He will always lead us! Psalm 23:2-3 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. [3] He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. -leave it behind When He points out our sin we must be willing to repent!! The Lord is coming back: Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. If we want to see revival and people saved then we MUST be willing to repent ourselves and allow Him to lead us where He wants us.
It is a great day in the life of Christian when not only are we willing to pray for God to search us, but also willing to repent ourselves and follow Him where He leads. May God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
