Ignoring The Signs
2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
We’ve all rolled through a stop sign or sped through a yellow light in order to beat the red light. However, I’d say none of us would intentionally barrel through a stop light or stop sign at a busy intersection. We would heed to those warning signs. Think of how you’ll slow down when you see a sign that alerts you to slow down due to a curve ahead. You pass that deer crossing sign and it will make you be a little more aware of your surroundings. Why do we ignore the warning signs associated with our text verse? You read on after our text verse and you’ll find everything described in the times we live in now. We no doubt are living in the last days. Do we live like we’re living in the last days? I’d tend to think if we truly believed the Lord could return tomorrow we’d be handling things a little differently. You’d think we’d be doing all we could to get our friends and loved ones saved. I want to believe we’d desire to make sure we are where we need to be in our own walk with the Lord. I get the sense that we tend to just go through the motions day after day. Yes we believe that the Lord is coming back. Even though we seem to heed to all the worldly warning signs around us we seem to just ignore the warning signs that it truly could be today. Are you ready for Him to return?
