The Benefits of God
Psalm 68:19
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
The word benefit means to reward, to recompense, an act of good. The benefits of the Lord are received on a daily basis. Salvation no doubt is the greatest benefit a person can ever receive. Psalm 86.5 says that God is plentiful in mercy that God withholding what we deserve. Ephesians 2:8 tells us God is exceeding rich in grace. That's God giving us what we don't deserve. God gives us a measure of faith. Without faith you can never get saved. God protects and provides for us every day. God provides us a good church and a good family. He gives us strength to get out of bed, food to eat, and air to breathe. There’s to many things to list. We ought to be the most joyful people in the world for all God does for us.
