Who Are You Looking Unto?
Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
The Bible instructs us to look unto Jesus, but most people are looking everywhere else but to Jesus. Jesus is the author or beginner of our faith and the finisher of our faith. What you put your faith in is where all your confidence. People today put their faith in the government, wealth, family, friends and many other things. All those things will let you down. Jesus has promised that he will never leave you or forsake you. Jesus is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. That’s a great promise from God. The relationship between brothers is a very close relationship. Jesus is so close that he went all the way to calvary to pay our sin debt. He suffered so we could go to heaven. If you have not put your trust in Jesus as your personal saviour i would advise you to do so today!
