June 16 Devotion: Living Out Our Faith

6).  Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7).  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8).  Whom living not seen, ye love, in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9).  Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

True faith is based upon Scripture and embraces its eternal principles. Genuine belief trusts that God is who He says He is and will do everything He has promised. But faith isn't meant to stay hidden-it's to be lived out where others can see it.

How can we share our faith with those around us? Words matter, certainly. We can verbally explain what we believe and why. But our actions often speak even louder. A godly lifestyle often influences people for Christ more effectively than words alone ever could.

Consistency through trials demonstrates the reality of our faith. When difficulties come, the way we respond tells others whether we truly trust God. As we persevere visibly through hardship, what we're sharing is more valuable than gold or silver.

Prayer is another powerful way to influence others. When we bring someone before the throne of the Almighty, we're doing eternal work in those quiet moments. And we're learning for ourselves that God is faithful-even when circumstances look impossible (SEE HEBREWS  4:16).

Consider different ways you can live out your faith. And ask God for the wisdom to know where and how to share the good news of Jesus.
