Isaiah Saw The Lord
Isaiah 6:1-5
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. [2] Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. [3] And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. [4] And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. [5] Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
Isaiah got the privilege to actually see the Lord himself. What he saw then was he saw more than the Lord. He saw his position on the throne and he was high and lifted up. He saw his holiness and he was being worshipped by the angels, but he also saw himself and said i am undone. I have never had an experience like that, but I have through the eyes of faith seen the great things that the Lord has done. The creations that God alone has done, and the extreme love that God has for humanity. How he sent his Son to the cross to redeem the lost world. How God gave us his word, and by reading his word the child is not surprised to see the condition of the world. The Bible tells us that perilous times shall come, and they are here. The same Bible gives us the greatest promise that ears have heard. If i go away I will come again and receive you unto my self. If Isaiah saw the Lord, we by faith can see just as clearly, and we can see that just around the corner the Lord Jesus could return.
God bless you
