June 5 Devotion: The One Thing

This One Thing

Intro. Many are so busy doing so much that they are accomplishing very little. There is an old expression people used to say- “They’ve got too many irons in the fire.” Several times in the Bible the phrase “This one thing” is mentioned.

This One Thing

1. Revelation – Mark 10:21 “One Thing Thou Lackest”

2. Illumination – John 9:25 – “One Thing I Know”

3. Gratification – Luke 10:42 –“One Thing Needful”

4. Dedication – Psalm 27:4 –“One Thing Desired”

5. Determination – Philippians 3:13-“One Thing I Do”

It’s better to do one thing and do it right and accomplish something than to have much going on and accomplish little.
