June 7 Devotion: Approaching God

Approaching God

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hopefully, if you are reading this then you spend time each day in prayer with God. How do you approach Him during that time?

Do you approach with your head hung low in shame? We should come humbly, but not in fear of Him.

Do you approach flippantly? Are you spending heartfelt time with Him, or do you just read from a list and give no thought to what you are saying?

Do you approach with fear of asking for your needs? Our text verse instructs is to approach boldly! We should approach Him with reverence because He is King of King’s and Lord of Lord’s. We should also approach Him with assurance because He instructs us to!

Approach Him boldly today because He has made this avenue available for us to fellowship with Him!
