June 9 Devotion: Unthankful

Unthankful

Psalm 68:19

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

The Bible states that in the last days men would be unthankful. We are so spoiled in America that we Christians think that we deserve the best of everything, and we're not thankful for all the daily provisions that God supplies for us. We are constantly complaining about the weather that it rains too much. The price of gas is too expensive. The Bible says in the last days perilous times shall come. I believe that the last days are here, and our attitude should be thankfulness. We should be thankful that we have food and clothing and a place to live. We should be thankful that we can afford to buy a tank of gas. God has given us so much yet we can be so unthankful, but that is the way of mankind. The more God does for them the more they think they deserve. When in reality all we deserve is an eternity in the lake of fire. God everyday is giving grace and mercy and love and supplies our every need. He answers every prayer and protects us from every danger. The next time you see stuff going higher try thanking God for enough to pay for what you are purchasing.
