A House Divided

Matthew 12:25-26

And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: [26] And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

The Pharisees accused Jesus of casting out demons in the name of the devil, and Jesus responded by saying a house divided cannot stand. If you look around today, the devil is very busy spreading division. In our country, there is so much division that we can't agree to unite for the common good of our country. That causes me to wonder how long this great country can last. We are not being taken over from the outsiders, but from those on the inside. This is what's happening to our churches all across the country. Our preachers are not preaching against sin. They will not stand for right and wrong. Preachers that are more concerned about a paycheck and large attendance. I believe that a saved person will desire to be faithful to their church. If compromising the Word of God causes you to miss, then you need to check on your relationship to God. We are not called to look like the world or to act like the world. The world needs to see that there is something different in us. There is someone that can give you peace and happiness. May God help us to stand and fight a good fight.
