March 12 Devotion: You Have The Faith

You Have The Faith

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Ever look at someone who it seems like everything that could go wrong in life has gone wrong? What about that person that was willing to just trust God on a major decision and think to yourself that there’s just no way you could do that? When we think like that then no, we can’t step out on faith. We also will be that person that tends to just fall apart when something happens in our life. The thing is, God has given us the faith we need to get past failures, to get over heartaches, and to accomplish great things in our lives as well as do His will for our lives. Too often though we allow doubt or trepidation set in and we fail to exercise the faith that God has given us. I believe vs 3 sums us up well unfortunately. We are quick to think we always have things under control. We think we can handle whatever comes our way, and we tend to think we know what’s best for our lives so we won’t consult God in our decisions. Then when something unexpected happens or a decision goes awry we don’t know how to handle things. We’ve not used the faith that God has given us, therefore, we don’t put it into practice. Job tells us mans days are few and full of trouble. We are going to go through things that are unexpected, that we don’t understand. We have the faith to trust that God knows what He is doing and that everything will be ok. Seek Gods will in your decisions. When you have faith in Him then you understand that while you can’t see the outcome of a decision you know God is in control. Whatever you’re faced with today, Gods given you the faith to get past something or to make that decision. Put that faith into practice and trust that God has it all taken care of!

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
