More Than Just A “Thanks”

More Than Just A “Thanks”

Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

We’ve heard it preached before: What if you only had today what you thanked God for yesterday? There is a good chance I’ve done a devotion before about being thankful as well. This is obviously the easiest week to bring up and talk about being thankful. However, I’m not talking about just giving thanks. It’s easy to say thanks for something. However, when it doesn’t show in our life we can become callous and lose sight of how blessed we are. How often do we truly show God how thankful we are for all His blessings. We live in a society where the government thinks it’s okay to take away our freedoms we have. Also have a large number of people who believe this is okay as well. Yet we will spend this week just saying a simple thank you. What a difference it could make in our lives if we spent some time this week glorifying God and showing how thankful we are for all the blessings He bestows upon us. Even if you don’t abide by all the rules and regulations the government has wanted to pass along this is still going to be a Thanksgiving like none other I ever remember having. Therefore, let’s treat it different in our thankfulness. Don’t just say words, but show God how thankful you are for all you have!

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
