Nov. 10 Devotion: Walking Worthy of Your Vocation

Walking Worthy of Your Vocation

Ephesians 4:1

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

We know that nobody is worthy of doing anything for the Lord Jesus, but God has allowed us the privilege of being a part of the work of God. To walk worthy of our vocation, our behavior must be right. We know that nobody is perfect, but we are called to good works. We are examples for God to a lost world. We should never give lost people the idea that you can live any way you want to. We must believe what the Word of God says. In John 6, they asked Jesus what we should do to work the works of God. Jesus replied that we should believe in him whom God hath sent. Ever since Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, people have been willing to do something or to work their way to heaven. God's desire for man is to give him eternal life freely. It's hard for man to trust God because they want a part in their salvation. To walk worthy, you must belong to a local church body. Jesus bought the church with his own blood. God will not put his stamp of approval on anyone who is not associated with the church. It's a blessing to do anything for the Lord Jesus.

May God bless you,

Bro. Ron Little
