Looking For Revival
Psalm 85:6-7
[6] Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? [7] Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.
As you read this devotion our church is about to kickoff a weekend meeting. If you read this and don’t or can’t attend we truly request and appreciate your prayers.
However, for those attending, what are you looking for? It’s easy to say we want to see revival break out. Do we WANT it more than we don’t though? As the old saying goes: Actions speak louder than words!
How much time have we spent in examining our lives to have our hearts prepared for revival?
Have we opened up any extra time with God in preparation for revival?
Have we prayed for the preacher?
Have we prayed for ourselves to be willing to do whatever God may ask us to do? You never know when a testimony or song could be what God uses to break out something that we’ve never seen before.
What are your expectations for the weekend? You know we’ll hear some good singing and preaching. Is that all you expect? Do you have any expectation that this weekend meeting could be the beginning of something that changes our church, community, and country? Our unbelief can keep that very thing from happening!
Let’s show up with expectations of God doing something we’ve never seen before!
God bless you today!
