What A Redeemer
Hebrews 9:25-28
Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; [26] For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. [27] And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: [28] So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
The word redeemer means to ransom. In Romans 3:23 it states that we all have sinned and come short of his glory. So according to this everyone is in need of a redeemer. To be a redeemer you must be willing to pay the price of redemption. John 10.18 Jesus says no man takes my life, I lay it down. Jesus gave his life for the sheep so the sheep could have life. To be a redeemer you must love the ones your redeeming. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son. He has a personal relationship with each sheep. He loves me personally. That’s very special. In 1 Peter 1.18 we're not redeemed with silver and gold but with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. It's something to pay for someone, but to pay with your own blood is something else. Jesus not only redeemed us but he took us into his family and provides our every need. What a Saviour and Redeemer.
God bless
