Oct. 5 Devotion: Restoring a Fallen Brother
Restoring A Fallen Brother
Galatians 6:1
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
It should be the desire of every child of God to restore all of the fallen. But to our shame, many of the children of God don't feel that way. They believe they get what they have coming to them. The truth is, if we all got what we deserved, we'd be in Hell today.
Some have fallen out because of being hurt by another child of God. Some of the worst hurt you'll experience is by another Christian. What we need is to have a heart of love and compassion for those that are not attending church. We're hearing more and more about preachers falling into sin. We must respond to this in a Godly manner, remembering that we ourselves are human and we're not above falling into some kind of wicked sin. In the days we live in, there is so much access to so much evil, and the devil will provide and open doors so he can snare you and destroy your testimony. We have people that think that they are beyond falling into sin, but let me remind you again, we're all flesh. Friend, you are never more like Jesus than when you have an attitude of love and forgiveness for the fallen.
May God bless you,
Bro. Ron Little
