The Truth
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
I don’t follow everything that goes on in politics, but one thing I have followed some is the nomination of Mr. Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. That whole ordeal, as well as other things that have gone in this world have led me to believe there is one thing a lot of people aren’t interested in anymore. The TRUTH!
Not just truth in politics, or truth of The Gospel of Christ, but the truth in ourselves!
Our text verse tells us the truth will set us free. How truthful are you within yourself? If we tell a lie to someone we then have to spend time covering that lie up. Make sure we don’t tell someone else something different, or not contradict ourselves to that person a little later down the road. We constantly go in circles at times. It’s the same way when we aren’t truthful to ourselves. When we don’t study or pray the way we should it has an effect on us. If we don’t attend services the when we are supposed to it has an effect on us. We can be fake in front of a certain group of people and try to act better than what we truly are, but it will have an effect on us. What would it do for our worry, our stress, or overall mental health if we were just truthful within ourselves.
If you’ll ask yourself honestly today:
Am I where I need to be in my walk with The Lord?
Am I walking the way I should in front of others?
If we answer these honestly before God it will set us free! It can set us free from a lot of our worry and guilt if we’d just be TRUTHFUL inside ourselves!
God bless you today!
