What A Saviour

Luke 2:11

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

The word Saviour means deliverer. Our Saviour Jesus was born of a woman, a virgin, so he could associate himself with humanity. Jesus was a willing Saviour in John 10. Jesus said no man takes my life. I lay it down, and I have power to take it up again.” Jesus is a working Saviour. The Bible says that by Jesus all things consist. Everything that happens in the world is because Jesus is in control. Jesus is a saviour that deserves worship. The Bible says, “Let everything that has a breath praise the Lord.” I'm afraid that the church as a whole has lost its desire for worship. He's a Saviour to the wicked. He did not come for the righteous. Paul, the apostle, confessed to being a wretched sinner. Jesus is a wealthy Saviour. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. God is not bankrupt. Jesus is not a weak Saviour. He is all-powerful. It took a lot of strength to walk up Calvary and lay down his life for wicked sinners, knowing that most of humanity would reject him. What a Saviour! I desire to be more like him and less like me.
