Seeking God
Isaiah 65:1 I am sought of them that asked not for me ; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
Romans 10:20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
Have you ever put something up somewhere only to look for it later, and forget where you placed it? You then find it later on when you are looking for something else, or not looking for anything at all.
How many testimonies do we hear where people talk about they weren’t seeking God when they were saved? It’s not hard to look around and find someone with a lost or empty look on their face. Those people who are searching for something, but just don’t really know what they are searching for. Unfortunately, I’m afraid sometimes we judge those people by their looks, maybe their past, or what we perceive as their future intentions. It doesn’t have to be someone that’s “rough” looking. It can be those that we think are too entrenched in another religion. Too often we categorize people as to those we think maybe would come to church or talk about God, and then those we think aren’t really interested. The Gospel is for everyone! We should never make the determination for someone else on what they are seeking. There’s a good chance they aren’t seeking God, but that shouldn’t keep us from sharing with them what He could do for them in their lives! A simple word, timely spoken, could be the very thing that opens the eyes to salvation of that one you never thought would reach out to God. We should never make an assumption on someone else’s behalf on whether or not they are seeking God.
Remember today that the Gospel is for everyone and don’t be afraid to share it with someone!
God bless you today!
