Jesus Paid It All
Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Have you ever known someone that you felt could be so much better at something if they just applied themselves a little more. Maybe if they practiced more, studied more, or just had their whole heart devoted to something then they could surpass even their own expectations.
Jesus did that for each of us. Throughout his ministry here on earth, and all the way to the cross He gave his all for each of us. He never went into anything half-heartedly.
Why then do we do that to Him? How many are hit and miss Christians, or how many may be at each service, but devote very little time to the things of God besides that? Why then do we expect to reap all the benefits, or expect God to be at our beckon call when we only give a part of ourselves to him?
Jesus paid it all for us, why then do we only want to give half back to Him?
