Jonah 1:1-2 – “Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.”
The word of the Lord came to Jonah and said, “Arise and go to Nineveh.”A direct statement of what to do and where to go and do it. In our lives there are places we can end up if we make the right or wrong choice.
A Place to Go
A place to go – Nineveh – Where God wants you
A place not to go – Joppa – Where God cannot use you
A place you don’t want to go – Where God chastens you
A place you don’t have to go – Hell – Where God punishes you
A place you can go – Heaven – Where God has prepared for you
