Apr 12 Devotion: The “Unless” Excuse

My apologies for missing Friday. When I went to schedule one for today I noticed I didn’t hit schedule to post the one on Friday.

The “Unless” Excuse

Romans 8:38-39 [38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

These 2 verses exemplify how nothing can separate us from the love of God. He loves us with an unmatched, unwavering, and unfathomable love!! A love we struggle to comprehend. What about our love for Him then? Can the same be said about us? How many people have allowed the pandemic to lead them away from God? How many people do you know that “used” to go to church? There should be no “unless” when it comes to our relationship with Christ. I’ll serve Him “unless” something happens. I’ll be in service “unless” I have something better to do. I’ll “worship” unless I’ve had a bad day or in a bad mood. Do we ever find ourselves with any of those kind of attitudes? There seem to be a lot of conditional situations in today’s society. However, our love and relationship with Christ should not be one of them on our part. Do you find your relationship with Christ to be steady or more like a rollercoaster? It’s all good, “unless.”

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
