Now’s Not The Time To Give Up
Isaiah 62:1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
We see in this verse the zeal Isaiah had for his people. It’s a zeal that we many times share as well. We begin to pray for someone in our family or a friend. We make it a point to pray for them on a daily basis for their salvation or to see them get right with God. Even a zeal to see revival break out. We have a great desire at first to see great things happen. Then, over time, that thing that we once had a zeal for seems to fade. Maybe it’s a lack of faith, impatience, or just something that loses its importance over time. Regardless of the reason why, I want to encourage you today to not give up!
2 Chronicles 15:7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
Don’t get discouraged regardless of how long you’ve been seeking God about something! Those are times we need to just depend on Him.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
We have no idea what answer our next prayer may hold. Don’t give up now! Don’t stop just short of the blessing!
