Just Keep Believing

Mark 5.22-43

The one thing that pays off with God is faith, and thats the area we have problems with. Seems like most people want to do something to please God, but God only wants us to believe in him. It's easy to believe when we have no serious problems and everything is going according to our plans, but like Jairus we will face a problem that we have no control over. What do we do then?

First we must go to the one who has control over everything. Jairus invited Jesus to come and heal his daughter, but in this process there will be hindrances. Jesus got side tracked with helping a woman who needed healing also. Then the problem got worse, his daughter died. It got even worse when a person that brought the news and said, don't trouble the master. Discouragement must have set in. Remember that Jairus was in the presence of Jesus. Jesus gave him the most important advice, only believe. If Jairus had taken the rulers advice he would have attended his daughter's funeral, but by believing he saw her rise and walk. Jesus has not changed and his power has not weakened. Just keep believing!
