Aug 17 Devotion: God Says You’re Worth It

God Says You’re Worth It

Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

I had a lot of thoughts and read a lot of Scripture in seeking what God would have me to do for the devotion today. Nothing just seemed to have Gods hand on it. Then in service last night our pastor talked about vagueness in his last point in the message. God immediately led me to this verse and gave me the thought for the day. I believe each of us have days where we feel worthless. It could be caused by the devil getting in our head, it could be one of those days where it seems that everything you try to do falls apart, or it could be some around you are demeaning you and causing you to have those feelings that you are worthless. There are times when those feelings may show on our face and others will try to encourage us. However, even with that encouragement those negative feelings can still persist. I’m here today to say you don’t have to take their word for it, because God says you are worth it! First off, He made you! We’ve heard it before, God don’t make any junk! Secondly, He loves you! You can not make the statement that nobody loves you. God loves you, and His love is better than anything in this world.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Lastly let me say that He gave the best of heaven for you.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We see everything contained in His Word about how He loves us, He gave the best of heaven for us, and the fact that He is always there to listen to us in prayer as well as supplying our needs. Therefore, next time you start to have those feelings of being unloved, or not important enough just remember that the God that created everything around you loves you and knows your name!!

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
