A Land of Milk and Honey
Exodus 3:8
And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
Canaan is a picture of a fulfilled Christian life. That is the life that God desires for every child of God, but it doesn't happen overnight nor does it happen easily. There will be many hindrances to keep you from the life that God has for us. The devil will fight all the way, and the flesh will cause us many problems.
The people of the land of Canaan. Canaan is a picture of freedom Israel will no longer be in bondage to the world. It was also a place of abundance. God would supply their every need. It was a place where everything was big. Grapes were so big it took two men to carry one cluster. Honey is a picture of grace, and God said that Canaan was a place where honey would be flowing. We will need grace to enter this experience of a fulfilled Christian life. The constant battling with the enemy that we will get wearied and stop fighting to enter this fulfilled life, but we must not stop moving towards the land that flows with milk and honey.
May God bless you,
