Aug 20 Devotion: Having Nothing Between You and Jesus!

John 13:23- Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

In one of the disciple’s darkest nights as Jesus conveys that one of them will betray him. As they each begin to question who it might be, John is leaning and loving on Jesus. He’s the only one not in fear because there’s nothing between him and Jesus.

*Having Nothing Between You and Jesus!

1. had no Barrier hindering the voice of Christ!

2. heard the Beating heart of Christ! (he became aware of Jesus’ desires & found the Will of God)

3. felt the Breath of Christ!

*it brought…

-a Calm!

-Conviction!

-Confirmation!

4. found his Burdens were lighter! (leaning on Jesus)

5. discovered his Bruises healed faster!

6. was Blind to the faults of others!

7. was Blessed to truly be seated in Heavenly places!
