Always Ready
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
When you look around at people today it’s hard to see much hope in a lot of people’s eyes. People look sad, lost, and hopeless. If you are saved you should look out of place in this world. Our faces should show joy, peace, and hope. People should be able to look at us and see something different. However, are we prepared to give an answer if asked about our reason for hope? We don’t have to be boisterous or obnoxious about things. We don’t have to blow people off. We should be willing to share our faith with others. There is nothing wrong with just sharing with others what a God has done in your life. It’s one thing to be prepared to answer questions from others about God and the Bible in general, but we should be more than prepared to answer about why we have joy in such dark, difficult times. If you are saved then you should have a joy in your heart that this lost world has no idea about, and we should be ready to share. When you think about it we are ready to share most anything. Find out about a big sale, we’ll call and tell someone. You accomplish something on job, you’ll be ready to tell others. Why then should we not be ready to tell others about what God has done for us?
We will encounter a lot of different people this holiday season. People that are facing many things that we have no idea about. Go out and let the joy of your salvation show forth, and be prepared to share it when asked.
God bless you today!
