Psalms 25:15 – “Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.”
It’s a joy for a Christian to hear the name of Christ proclaimed so often during the Holiday season. But for the world, as soon as New Years has passed, the focus shifts back to labor and production.
With all the pressure from the world to put in more effort to offset the days lost during the holidays, it is easy for a saint to feel pressured to give more to the carnal world and as a result must give less to God.
David spells it out clearly in the Psalm. Ever towards the Lord should be our eyes. Ever should His name be upon our lips. Ever in the forefront of our minds should be His will for our life.
I love hearing songs about Jesus throughout the holidays, I love hearing of His miraculous birth. But, it should be the desire of each saint to proclaim the name above all names all year long.
End this year and begin the next in marvelous fashion by fixing your eyes daily upon the one who is altogether lovely.
Your fellowservant in Christ,
-Bro. Jordan Foster
