When You Add It All Up

Hebrews 8:1

Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

The sum total of Christianity is added up in Jesus Christ. He is the only hope of everyone that puts their trust in the Lord Jesus. He is the go-between for man and God. He's the intercessor for mankind. We are helpless without him. We can do nothing to bring righteousness and holiness to our life. The priest was the one who would make sacrifices for man, but Jesus gave his life as a sacrifice for all humanity. Sometimes when you try to add things up in life, things just don't add up, but with Jesus all things add up. He is the one that is worthy of all glory. He's the creator of all things. He's the head of the church. By him all things consist. He's the only person that ever walked on Earth that never committed one sin. It’s hard to believe that there was a man who never committed one sin, but that's who Jesus is. When you add it all up, Jesus is everything.
