Dec 17 Devotion: What’s Your Motivation?

What’s Your Motivation?

1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Do you ever give much thought to what you do thru your day? It doesn’t matter what your occupation. You could work in a factory, be a stay at home parent, or be in the ministry full time. Each of these have a routine that we tend to follow. Each day can bring forth new challenges, but a lot of the time each day has a lot of similarities in it. How do we treat each day’s challenges and or similarities? A lot of things we have a tendency of just going thru the motions. Even simple things like eating or drinking. Have you ever asked if what you are about to do brings glory to God? Even better, have you sought out how YOU CAN bring glory to God in whatever it is you are about to do? It doesn’t have to be something spectacular. Praying before we eat, even in public. Even just telling God thank you out loud. Doing anything that helps point others to Him, and brings glory to Him, can help others trust Him.

This world needs to see a difference in us. They need to see that there is a difference in true Christianity from the world. The world isn’t going to bring glory to Him. So we should in everything we do!! Is your motivation each day to bring glory to Him, or to just get true the day: never giving God a second thought?

God bless you today!
