Dec. 19 Devotion: Gifts You Can Share

Gifts You Can Share

Matthew 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

We are in the final week leading up to Christmas. As Christians we know the true meaning of Christmas. However, many in this world will be stressed out this week. They will be worried about travel plans, meals, and getting the perfect gifts. Therefore, there are some things that we should share with them this week. We should share the joy in our heart. This is the time of year we celebrate the birth of our Lord! We have a joy that should show on our face. Hopefully, the world looks on our face and don’t see the stresses this world has to offer. We should share the peace in our heart. We have a peace this world doesn’t understand. We have a peace that passeth all understanding the Scripture says. Most importantly, if we get the chance to talk to one this week who don’t know we should share the Gospel. Let them know the true meaning of Christmas. I’d venture to guess that most know what’s being celebrated. However, there are many that might not know the significance of the birth we are celebrating. He’s not a baby in a manger anymore! We have much to share this week that the world knows nothing about. Don’t allow yourself to get caught up in the hussle and bussel that will accompany this week. Instead share the joy and peace that only the Gospel of Christ can give.

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
