Dec. 5 Devotion: Encouraged In Salvation

Encouraged In Salvation

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

This verse should encourage us that God wants to save everyone. It’s His desire that all should come to a saving knowledge of Christ. We’ve been blessed to see souls saved in the jail the last 2 weeks. It goes without saying that we should be excited about that. However, it should also encourage us. We’ve seen many show up the last few weeks at church on Saturday night to pray for lost. This shows that we all have people we know that are lost. Seeing others saved should encourage us to keep praying. Our lost family member or friend could be next. Seeing God save someone else should encourage us because it shows God isn’t done saving people. Seeing God save someone else should encourage us that He can still move in anybody’s life. No matter where they are or what their circumstances, God can save their soul! For the lost friends or family members that you are praying for: Keep praying! No matter how long you’ve been praying God has shown us He is still in the saving business. Now isn’t the time to give up. We keep praying and there’s no telling what God will do!

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
