Full Confidence In God!

Psalm 11:1-7

[1] In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? [2] For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. [3] If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? [4] The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. [5] The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. [6] Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. [7] For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Have you ever had to flee for the fear of your life? I’d guess most of us have never been in the position that David was when he fled from Saul and the fact that Saul wanted him dead. However, there may be times when it seems that everything around us is crumbling. A time when all those around you say you should flee (vs 1). Those are the time when we especially need to focus like David did in the first part of vs 1. Just put our trust in The Lord! There are times when we are going to feel like we are going through the fire. There may be times when we feel like our world is crumbling. Always remember The Lord is still on the throne! When we realize that He is in control, and there is nothing we face that He can’t get us through, it’s then we can live a joyous life in Christ. That only comes though by having full confidence in Him! It’s not about meeting God half way! We want to put Him on the shelf until we really need Him. That’s not full confidence. Instead of trying to get through those small things on our own, we need to put our confidence in Him then also. If we don’t have confidence in God in the small things, then we aren’t going to trust Him when it feels like the world is coming against us.

Put your full confidence today in the one that controls your tomorrow!

God bless you today!
