Being Fake Shows
Mark 14:44-46 [44] And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely. [45] And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him. [46] And they laid their hands on him, and took him.
Their reputation precedes them. Ever heard that phrase? If you need work done around the house you’ll pick someone who has good reputation. You’ll pick services that other people recommend. What reputation do you have with family or coworkers? Our friends or fellow saints at church can say one thing. We are around them at church and church functions. We would be on our best behavior so to speak. Judas walked with Jesus on daily, but we find his heart was far from Christ. What’s in our heart will come out around our friends, family, and coworkers. If someone was to talked them about you being a Christian would they say you were fake? What does our speech say about us while we’re in the world. That we are a Christian or we have a bigger desire for worldly things? Do our actions point people to Christ or are we more of a stumbling block? True Christians talk and act different. Therefore, the world can spot a fake. Stand out for Christ in a fake world everyday!
