Knowing The Works Of God
Psalm 106:2 Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord ? who can shew forth all his praise?
Have you ever just taken a moment to think about all the miracles and wondrous acts that God performed in the Bible? We would obviously need more than just a moment if we tried to recall them all. The more we are given to studying His Word, the more we are able to recall these events. The Bible isn’t “just a collection of stories.” Each and every thing in God’s Word is given to us for everyone’s benefit. The importance of us knowing these things is for us to have the ability to share with others. Whether on the job or just out in public, we find ourselves in conversations covering a variety of topics. We can carry on conversations for hours about sports, cars, shopping, our favorite TV show, etc. How long can we carry on a conversation about the things of God? Being able to recall these things can be the help someone else needs. Think of the encouragement it can bring someone who when facing a storm, you can tell them how God delivered Daniel from the lions den, or other things that should be encouraging to us. What if you have someone who don’t think God can save them. Can you tell them how God saved the “chief of sinners” in the Bible? These mighty acts are shown to us for a reason, and when we will praise His name and share these things we can make a difference in others peoples lives!
