Luke 11:1-2 – “And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. 2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.“
In these two verses, we notice 3 things-
Jesus is praying
One of His disciples asks Jesus to teach them to pray
Jesus said, “When Ye Pray”
Then Jesus gives them an example of the way to pray. Lots can be said about this example of prayer in-depth but today I want to say a few things to think on “When You Pray.”
When You Pray
Think before you pray.
Slow down when you pray.
Ask wisely when you pray.
Remember who you’re talking to when you pray.
Pray with someone at times.
Pray alone at times.
Take time to listen to Him.
Have a special place when you pray.
Remember He hears what you say.
He can and will answer your prayer according to His Will
