A Chore Or A Delight
Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
This past Sunday, in between church services, I got to go play golf for the first time this year. It was a little chilly, breezy, and even still rather wet. Regardless, I had a blast! Golf is something I enjoy doing tremendous. Even a bad day on the course is still a great time. That great time is typically determined by just one thing: my mindset. When you look forward to something you will enjoy it! What’s your mindset going to the house of the Lord? Whether it be a Sunday service or a midweek service, do you look forward to that as much as you do your favorite hobby? Often times we look at church as a chore or just attend as a routine. When we go to service as a chore or just because it’s something we do, then we can’t expect to get anything out of the service. However, if we show up excited, and looking forward to service, then we will get help regardless of what happens. It won’t matter the songs sang, or what the message may be, we will enjoy our opportunity to get to attend service! We must never forget IT’S A PRIVILEGE to get to go to Gods house! Therefore, we should treat it as such and show up excited and ready to see God move each service.
God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
