Will You Heed The Warning?

Acts 27:10 And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.

As we come out of a wonderful weekend revival I’ve just not been able to get this verse off my heart since our Pastor mentioned it on Saturday evening. Paul warning those on the ship that they should not launch out. However, we know they didn’t listen to Paul. Instead they set sail, believing they knew better.

Acts 27:11-13

[11] Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul. [12] And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an haven of Crete, and lieth toward the south west and north west. [13] And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing thence , they sailed close by Crete.

In our meeting God delivered a couple warnings to us thru the man of God! It’s easy to take those things seriously and get caught up in the moment while we are in the middle of the meeting. What about now? It’s another Monday. As we head back to our everyday lives, are we heeding those warnings?

Are we cautious in the decisions we make and where they could lead us?

Are we considering the disasters that could come by not seeking God in our decision making?

Are we choosing to keep those warnings in the forefront of our mind for future decisions?

You may not have needed those warnings over the weekend, you may not need them now, but someday you will! It’s keeping those warnings fresh in our mind thru God’s Word daily that can help keep us from backsliding or falling away from God!

God bless you today!
