More Like The Master
John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
Who did you look up to when you was younger? Who did you want to be like? I’m old enough to remember all the “Be like Mike” commercials and slogan. If you have kids you notice the older they get the more they emulate what you do. From your mannerisms to phrases you say. There was a professional golf tournament on tv back in December that was a parent/child tournament. It was cool on the last day they showed collage of videos and pics on how much the kids emulated the parents. Not just young kids, but even how much the grown children still emulated their parents. How much do we emulate Christ? How much are we willing to decrease so that Christ will increase in us. We you think of kids emulating their parent, it is something that happens over time. The more they are around their parents the more they begin to talk and act like them. It is the same thing in our Christian walk. The more time we spend with Christ, the more it shows out in our lives. His love should show forth out of our hearts. Our speech should be Christ-like. We shouldn’t be walking around gossiping or putting others down. Are you that friend to others that He is to you? Do we follow in the footsteps He has for our lives, or would we rather walk in the world. Do you have a desire to be more like Him today?
God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
